Your Morning Routine:
Continue to wake up, make your bed and wash your face, etc. But beyond that, start a new morning routine now that you have a little more time. Include a 10 minute morning or gratitude mediation, journal on what you are thankful for and write and recite a couple of affirmations. Maybe add in a little stretching too, your body deserves it! After getting ready completely leave your room and shut the door. Return when your workday is complete.
Get Dressed:
Even though we may not feel like it, get dressed for the day and get out of your pajamas. The first couple of days during quarantine you can let it slide, but you’ll start to not feel like yourself if you stay in your pjs all day every day. Even put on a natural face, not every day and when you do take some pics! That could be a fun highlight of the day.
Keep a Schedule:
Keeping a schedule is key to working from home. Have a few things you do no matter what like keeping your morning routine, drinking a smoothie or your fave cup of tea or coffee, call your family and get that 9-5 work done!
Create a Work Space:
Select a specific space in your home or apartment as your new office space. I would choose somewhere that has some sunlight to keep you uplifted and in a good mood.
Break Time:
Make sure you make time for taking a break. Make time for lunch and maybe a short walk to get some fresh air. Come back feeling refreshed, ready to end the workday.
Keep Office Hours:
When working from home it’s easy to hop right into working after you finished your basic morning routine but make sure you are setting boundaries. Wake up do your routine and make sure you nourish your body. Don’t work through lunch or eat lunch while working, walk away from the computer and clear your mind. Close the computer at the end of the day and don’t open it for any reason during the evening, unless you really want to. lol
Connect:
Even though you have been connecting with your co-workers all day, being quarantined can get lonely. Make sure you are making time to connect with your friends and family on a daily basis.
The Run-Down:
-Get plenty of natural light.
-Get into nature.
-Take mental and physical breaks.
-Keep a daily routine.
-Refresh your home desk.
-Sit in a chair rather than getting too comfortable and relaxed on the couch.
-Get ready like you’re going to the office.
-Pace yourself.
-Hold yourself accountable.
-Wake up early and do your morning routine and workout.
Everything is a lot easier said than done but take baby steps in this process just remember to be working on your daily routine every day. Practice and consistency make for a perfect outcome. Never forget that we are in this together ladies and we are going to come out strong!
